We are honored to have been invited by Tencent as their partner, as the Chinese version of the ancient world is about to enter the ultimate closed testing phase, which is a very important milestone. They need a cinematic trailer to promote it on the internet. Previously, our trailers were shot from a free perspective based on in-game footage. However, for this cinematic approach, it can only be achieved with the use of the engine editor. Therefore, we and our partners went to the headquarters of the Korean developer XL Games to produce this cinematic trailer.

This trailer mainly tells the origin of the story background of the game:

In the “Radiant Century,” various ethnic groups in the Neimi River basin were heading towards a great integration, and various ethnic civilizations collided and merged here. The capital of the continent, “Glorious Defina,” became an exceptionally open and free city. The original continent ushered in its most brilliant and prosperous period – the Radiant Century.

At the end of the Radiant Century, twelve young people from various parts of the continent gathered at the great library. There, the intersection and collision of thoughts and beliefs among different races led them to question the origin of the world. They began to travel together to the center of the world, seeking the truth of the world’s origin. They are the later expedition team sung by people. The expedition team encountered many obstacles and finally arrived at the birthplace of the world, where they discovered the courtyard of the gods, which gathered all truths. In the courtyard of the gods, the members each found the truth they were seeking and gained different abilities.

Finally, due to their different beliefs, a great war broke out between the heroes and the gods, which destroyed the original continent. The goddess Noi’s own power was not enough to stop the destruction of the original continent and the decline of the radiant civilization. In a critical moment, she could only exhaust her strength and life to open the gate to the underworld, sending all races to the western continent and ensuring the continuation of their lives. Later, to commemorate the goddess who saved all races, they honored her as “Goddess Noi.”

For the goddess Noia, the title of the goddess of the underworld and her gentle and kind image differ from our understanding of the underworld. From this, we can see her love for the people. The Noah race, who regard her as their faith, have been guarding the gates of the underworld with their loyalty for the next 2000 years, implementing the teachings of the goddess of the underworld. Noia did not have enough power to save the original continent, but she realized a great migration, allowing the survivors to embark on a new life in a new land, forming the starting point of the game. The survivors have never forgotten the original continent, returning to the once glorious land, which is almost the wish of all races and will be one of the players’ goals. After various races fled from the original continent to the Western Continent, which is the Noia Continent, they shaped the world we will experience in the game after 2000 years of development.

As residents of the Noia Continent and the Harira Continent, players’ adventurous journey will unfold with the cooperation and conflicts of different races, powers, alliances, and factions.

The creative journey:

Due to the early stage of game development, the technology used is based on the Cryengine 2 and 3, and many animation production programs are not as convenient as they are today. Moreover, the game is highly open, with a huge amount of ship and character accessories, and we have encountered many tricky problems and high difficulty challenges. For example, it is impossible to save dynamic links between objects because the principle of component assembly called by the program is vastly different from the animation production process, making it extremely difficult to create dynamic links for large objects. This means that every assembly we make has to be completed without the editor crashing, allowing the animation to be saved and output intact, so every large object animation material is a very precious resource. This trailer contains many large building animation groups and ship battle animations. We have successfully overcome various obstacles and created battle scenes that even the development team dared not imagine. Our team is proud and proud of this, after all, the challenges of this trailer are really unimaginable.
